I booked my surgery with Dr. Rice for October 13th. Still haven't gotten my 2nd opinion yet because Rice's office has been very slow sending my reports over to Dr.L. I have called 3 times and sent 14 emails. Apparently, they don't give a sh-T. I guess I know in my gut that I have to take this opportunity I have been given to get more years with my esophagus and have the myotomy. Since I swallow so well now, I can't see how it can make things worse. I can totally understand how it can not change anything, but making things worse is just too scary for me to worry about right now.
