Guest guest Posted July 10, 2006 Report Share Posted July 10, 2006 Hey - Just because you are having swallowing difficulties again does not necessarily mean a 2nd surgery. It is VERY common to need post-op dilations. Many of us had some symptoms return after surgery and they have been relieved through dilations, to break up scar tissue or help open up the LES again.
