I took it for a little while but not long enough to tell if it worked.

I hear from others that it can do wonders it is a mild anti-depresant

that's side effects include sleepiness so take it at night even though

I am a pharmacy tech I am not sure how it helps the " E " my guess is

that it must somehow relax it? Tamara

Yes, I take it for my spasms. It helps to "deaden" the nerve endings in the "E". I take a small amount, 50 mg. It also helps you get a good night sleep!

I get maybe 2/3 small spasms a month. Prior to Amitryiptyline I had 2/3 spasms a day.

My doctor did give it to me to help relax things. It's a very low dose

which has been known to relax the gi system. He suggested it just to

see if it helps while I am waiting to get in for an endoscopy. I've not

been on it long enough to know if it's going to do anything, but boy am

I sleeping good!
