Guest guest Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 I recently have considered filing for disability from this horrible disease. I am having a hard time with feeling like I am losing the battle with continuing on everyday like nothing is wrong. I have chronic chest pains making sleep of course difficult and suffer from chronic fatigue. I am 7 months post op from Heller myotomy at the Cleveland Clinic in which I just found out did not work and they ( when I am stronger) would like to go back in and re-do. You all probably know how horrified I am to think of going through it again. I have worked all my life ( I am 41 years old) but am having a hard time going on with the symptoms and not allowing it to interrupt my professional capabilities. Please understand this is a huge slap in the face for me because I opted to work while my children were smaller just because I was able to provide them good day care and carry the balance as a professional and mother. I am not a stay home person, but sometimes feel maybe that is where I belong. I guess what I am asking is AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO CANNOT CONTINUE TO WORK AND DEAL WITH A? Quote
