It is generally not believed this disease is hereditary, however, most things lead to a pre-disposition for problems in that area of the body. In other words, your grandkids might be pre-disposed for issues of the GI tract or for other related issues. Most things are like cancer or heart disease....you might not get the SAME cancer or the exact circulatory issue, but you might have a tendency toward something similar.
