Hi welcome to the group.My name is Sherry.I live in southern Ohio.I

just found this group a couple weeks ago.It has been the

greatest.This problem is not common.Most Drs don't know alot about

it.I was diagnosed about 6 months after I started having problems at

Cleveland Clinic about 15 yrs ago.I lost 100# in 5-6 months.It was a

good thing I was overweight at that time.I couldn't even swallow my

own saliva.My hair fell out.I looked like someone on chemo.I've had

dialations done but no surgeries.I have an appoint at CC Aug 17th.I

am going to go for the surgery if they think that is my best

option.It has been pretty bad for the last few weeks.I am eating

soups,liquids and put other foods in food processer.I drink lots of

water when I eat it helps to push the food down.This is really a

great group.How is your swallowing now? Shery from Ohio
