Mark...you have my empathy

Mark,

I'm going to join the chorus of " Been there, felt like that " folks that you

have already heard from. My doctos thought I was wacko, my husband believed

them, and I was a depressed and pathetic soul for a long time. Why so many of

us go through it this way is a mystery when there ARE great docs, treatments,

and therapies available. But it sounds like you have had enough. WHen you reach

that point, what could it hurt to go to a professional for A and see what your

best treatment options are. I finally found the right doctor and he turned my

life around and gave me my life back. Look at how many of us have found help.

Even if you get to the point where you need major surgery, the body will heal,

and eventually you will get your life back. ANd there IS so much more to life

than this disease. You have a life force in you that will never die. A spirit.

Your spirit needs you to go to the right doctors for help. Don't give up, and

do what you have to do to feel better. I was scared to death when I read about

surgery, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Nothing can be worse than

feeling the way you do now, but it won't last forever. Please PLEASE PLEASE do

not waste any time finding a good therapist. IF you are not on antidepressants,

get on one. You dont have to feel this way. Your wife is right, you need help.

ANd you can get help. We're all here for you. Some of us are where you are now,

some of us have rediscovred our lives. But we are all the same. We are the

world body of Achalasia in all of it's stages. Take heart from those of us who

care for you, as you are one of us. We feel your pain, and we want you to get

help. We identify with the way you feel and want ou to move on. SO many people

in this board have been where you are right now. Please please get help! Keep

in touch daily if possible. in HOuston
