Those of us with Achalasia are fortunate to be able to realize this. Anyone who has a problem eating will certainly relish it and appreciate it with greater depth when they are finally able to eat.Looking forward to some more solid foodChaitanya Rupa

Chaitanya,

This is SO true.

When I watch my family sitting down to eat, I truly feel sad that I am missing something.

It's now that I appreciate the ability to do this.

I hope someday, I will rejoin my family at the dinner table.

I used to be a pretty good cook, but now, I feel like the food I cook for my family is not as good as it used to be. It's difficult to have your heart in it when you know you won't be consuming any of it.Jan in Northern KY

Dear Jan

I hope you get your hope fulfilled and can sit for a nice meal with

your family.

It is hard to cook well when you can't eat it. Being on liquids can

be a real bummer.

At least you are a few steps closer to the day. Hang in there!!!!

Chaitanya & - this is hilarious. I read my Taste of Home magazines front to back while recovering & I could not bring myself to read them in the months prior to my myotomy!!!! I actually took them to the hospital & read while on a liquid diet! hahhaha! Cindi, glad she's not the only one!
