Guest guest
Joy, it can sometimes take 4-8 weeks to get that first appt, but then they do all the tests, etc., within a day or two. I would call Peg Krivac directly at 216-445-9102 -- she's the secretary for the Esoph. docs and can get you all the info you need. The regular "appointments" line isn't going to be able to "massage" a schedule opening for you like Peg can. Debbi in Michigan I have been trying to access online information for the Cleveland Clinic since that is where everyone seems to be directing me. It doesn't seem to be functioning at the present time. I guess I have to pick up the old-fashioned telephone. Does anyone have contact information? Does it usually take a long time to get appointments for those initial tests?Joy
Guest guest
Joy, I called TCC in mid-late April and got an appt. for June 16th with Dr. Vaezi. So, about a month and a half or so to be seen. Enough time to get records gathered together. And get nervous, or excited. Jan in NorthernKY

Let's just say I'm hedging my bets either way! I am often known for my "middle of the road" philosophy on life matters. And so, let's just say, I'm a little bit of both! Last night I ate some pasta right too close to sleepy time, took my elavil to help me nod off, and, didn't sleep much at all, since the medication must have sat in my e most of the night( along with the pasta). It's things like this, and the malnourished state I look like with my dark circles around my eyes and no energy, that make me hope that my trip to Cleveland clinic will be a watershed one for me. By the way, what are some of the symptoms of poor nutritional status? Debbi, thanks for all your support and everyone else for that matter. This group has been my lifeline to sanity. I am still nervous about going to Cleveland next week, but I will try to take things just one step at a time, and hope for someone who can offer me help.
