Guest guest
I added a new table for fun tonight to share a funny or memorable spasm or regurg story. It is on this achalasia home page in the database. That is the green section on the left hand side. Click on Database and it is one of the last ones. Just add your story(ies). I added 2 that were memorable, but not that funny. Surely there are funnier ones. This is just to share some lighthearted memories. By the way....I'm almost 5 weeks post thorascopic myotomy and eating almost everything, no reflux, I didn't have a wrap. Lately I notice I've lost my appetite some. Previously I had always been hungry, likely because my stomach wasn't often full. Seems like my mind and stomach are back together again. Makes sense that my brain kept telling me to eat before because I wasn't often satisfied. I don't really want to eat that often now. I eat almost everything, had a hamburger tonight, no bun (carbs) and no trouble. Tried whole carrots, some discomfort as well as apple with skin. Otherwise the whole food world is open. I don't eat much meat, but have had chicken w/ salad, but with oil and vinegar dressing. Sticks a little, but water solves it immediately. I hesitate w/fruit, mostly because it has been impossible for so long. I can eat any of it as long as there isn't that tough skin. I take motrins WHOLE, no chewing first. If I don't drink water I can force some regurg. But if I drink then it all goes down. I've healed quickly and well, with absolutely no complications. No white foam!!!!! That is a huge plus and no saliva buildup. Sooooo if anyone is considering the myotomy I highly recommend it. I don't regret the dilation first, I tried it and got a good year at least out of it. I don't wish I'd had the surgery first, but I'm glad I did it before my esophagus enlarged much or bent around or got a pouch.
