Guest guest
well today is one of my bad days.....funny how it starts...stomach gets upset...then choke on something...that nomally goes down fine..so can't find out if it's something that I ate...because it may be ok that day....and next not. The choking is usually so bad that it brings tears to my eyes.....the bite hurts the whole way down to where it gets stuck. No spasms with it...but that will come later usually in the night. Guess I'm feeling sorry for myself....just never know what will happen from one day to the next. Jan in Western KY
Guest guest
Hi Jan; You are sure not alone in having your "bad days". I am also able to eat something one day, only to be unable to eat it the next day. When you eat, you really do need to chew every bite until it is almost liquid. I nibble a lot during the day, eating every few hours. Does your stomach get upset often before you choke on your food? When you are having a really bad day it is wise to only have very bland food. Sorry you are having a rough day, . -- Not having a good day...... well today is one of my bad days.....funny how it starts...stomach gets upset...then choke on something...that nomally goes down fine..so can't find out if it's something that I ate...because it may be ok that day....and next not. Guest guest
-- Hi Jan, When I would have a difficult day I would drink a glass of wine while I ate. It seemed to relax my E. Don't know if it worked for anyone else. Wine seemed to be the only alcohol that would help specifically a zefandale. Don't know why. Hope you feel better. Guest guest
Jan, I know what you mean. That's one of the cruelest things about this particular problem, is that when you have good days, you think it may be part of a trend of healing or perhaps of better days ahead. Then without warning, the esophagus shuts down, and you can't be "normal" again, like you hoped you would. I sympathize. Jan in Northern KY.
