Guest guest
Hi - my name is . I just joined the group last week. I had a myotomy and a funduplication in November 1999, and have never regretted it. The difficulties you are having now will pass.. Mine did, and now I enjoy eating anything I like....always with care .... smaller bites. etc. I began eating solids very timidly and kept to thick soups, custards, scrambled eggs etc. and gradually introduced other foods. It does take a little while. I kept away from meats for quite a while and salads were out of the question for several months. I still drink liquids with each meal, and actually find milk is better than water. I can still feel the food going down, but it does go down! This is a very scary time for you and I know what you are going through, but keep your thoughts positive because " this too shall pass " . All the best for now.....
