Hi,

I just want you to know that I don't have time to juice and I found a reliable

and trustworthy company that juices Barley, Carrots and beets (they take the

sugar out of the carrot so you don't get too much sugar) and when you add

liquid to their powder it is just like you just juiced it yourself. It is

full of living enzymes and SOD. When I use to juice carrots I would get a

reaction to the sugar. I would have to drink less. No problem with their

carrot powder.

These juices are quick and easy and does not taste bad to me. I mix mine with

apple juice. The Barley Product is full of enzymes and all the nutrients a

body needs. I have seen people with breast cancer who after taking

therapeutic doses of Barley, recover completely. I can give you a phone

number of my friend who had breast cancer who no longer has breast cancer.

(therapeutic dose is 3-4 tablespoons a day). Cost would be about 90 dollars a

month at a therapeutic dose. That is cheap.

The Barely Product is also used as a green juice replacement at the Gerson

clinic too and I know Dr. Contreras from OASIS hospital in Mexico, uses this

product too.

I know it works and my motivation is to share a good thing. This company also

has a trio pack which includes the carrot juice, Beat juice for the liver, and

the Barley. You got it all covered with the trio pack. In this society of

fast pace living this is the perfect fast food.

You can check out their web site at this link and if you like the idea the 800

number is below too. Their website also has a lot of nutritional links on it.

It is very alternative medicine oriented and Dr. Contreras, from OASIS

hospital in Mexico has a column in their monthly Magazine. Their magazine is

full of nutritional education. It not only helps people with quality

products, but they are great at educating people about how to be in control

their health. They do not speak evil of other companies and they even put

articles in their magazines about the political problems that we must address

to keep our nutritional freedoms. A very good company in general.

I am 48 years old and I have NO achy joints (or heart either), and I am more

active than my teenagers who resist the nutritional supplements. One son is

beginning to take note that maybe Mom is right and is taking the products. He

had real bad back pains at 18. The kids are falling apart today with the fast

food. I give my younger ones (7 & 9) the Barely every day and they are rarely

sick. They have been sick once in their life time where they missed school

for a couple of days, when the other kids that got what they had were sick for

3 weeks. I also let their fever run high, but not dangerously high, so the

body could burn off the virus or whatever it was. The worse thing parents do

to their kids is kill the disease fighting fever. Just keep it safe by

wrapping cold towels around their calves and arms (so you don't freeze them

and shock them). It works like a radiator does. Sorry, didn't mean to get

into all that.

Just wanted to tell you juicing is great, but if you are time limited like

myself, the cost of this product is cheaper than going out and buying the

amount of dark green plants to make the dark green juice and you also do not

have the assurance of what was put on the plant you buy to juice or if the

soil is mineral deficient where it was grown. You can be confident with this

product that no poisons were used and the soil is all natural and full of the

minerals needed from natural sources. No nitrates. Barley in the green form

used by this company is not readily available on the market and once it is cut

it begins to age. The plants are juiced right after they are cut and then the

juice is turned into powder by low heat (so as to not kill the enzymes) and

then bottled. You don't get the plant all masticated, you get only the juice

which is what your body wants.

Be blessed with good nutrition and good health.

This product photsynthsizes even after 3 years shelf life. It is

recommended to also keep it in darkness like a closed cabinet, not left out on

a shelf to preserve the photosynthsis, life giving enzymes. It definitely has

been tested and the results people claim who take it speak well too. There is

even a Pastor who now has a health ministry helping other pastors educate

their people concerning natural healing and Barley Green is used extensively

in his diet plan. He had colon cancer and was not supposed to live. That is

why he and his wife turned not only to God's word, but the simple knowledge of

nutrition being made available to us as well. Hosea 4:6 " For lack of

knowledge, my people are destroyed " . Unfortunately Christians are just as

guilty of the sin of destroying their temple as unbelievers, because they to

have a lack of knowledge. Nature does not take into consideration ignorances.

The natural laws are in place and are for the blessing of all and

transgression of natural laws have consequences just as spiritual laws do.

The laws were put in place and don't change for anyone. God is the same

yesterday, today and forever and the only way to overcome the law of sin and

death which is in place and operating in everyone's life is to receive Christ

as Lord of your life and renewing the mind with His word. This law of the

Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, has overcome the law of sin and death.

(Romans 8:1).

So, natural foods are part of the laws of nutrition and that is why the body

is able to heal itself with good nutrition. There are books availble by Dr.

Higawara that covers the research done on these products and they are

extensive. In fact, I was able for $10.00 get scientific reports from the

company's lab. I needed it for a paper I was doing then and they were quick

to send it too.

I hope you don't mind me sharing about God, but this knowledge is even more

important for me to share than nutrition. God's word says that His words are

life and health to our bodies. I can personally attest to that wisdom being

true in my life.

At the company site they should offer books as well concerning this product.

I have been learning about healing alternatives for years and every product I

have found to be good for you, this company has ended up sharing with others.

They even have an Aloe product that meets the highest standards of the

clinical research done in the healing of AIDS and such. A Doctor out of

Dallas was doing research on AIDS and ALOE and had many AIDS patients who were

reading 0 negative after just a few months. He was claiming 50% at that time.

He has since died suddenly while on a trip to Europe. His staff with hiim

said it was a sudden heart attack. Hmmm

If there is a company I have found that I trust, it is this company. I am

very pleased with the products I take and I love my never ending energy level

and youthfullness at the age of 48.

God Bless You

Hi Diann,

This sounds like a wonderful product for someone on the go, however, it is

my understanding that dried processed food products lack the fragile,

subtle life-force that the Sun radiates and the plant absorbs in its

juices. Also, I wonder how well the enzymes stay intact once the product

is heated and dried. Perhaps, there is a way of testing the enzyme

activity when the product is reconstituted. Has anyone ever done this?

Suzanne

Never having owned a juicer, I am sure you all will think this is dumb,

but why is it necessary to buy a $400 juicer? My friend bought one at

WalMart and she loves it ! I would really like to know the answer to

this question!

Do you know what brand it is? I just have a stick blender and a new

combination food processor/blender. Do the blender blades really heat

up the food molecules that much? At least I don't have to dispose of

the fiber.

My mother once ate the fiber from her juicer and ended up with an

impaction!

The best juicer is the one that GETS USED. If you can

afford a Norwalk, get one...AS LONG AS YOU USE IT. If

all you can afford is a Sears, GET one...as long as you

USE it...

KAt,

There are 4 basic types of juicers of which I know, in order of cost.

Centrifucal, masticating, gear-driven & press. The centrifucal type, like an

Acme, aerates the juice too much, oxidizing a lot of enzymes & vitamins,

rendering them useless to you, and doesn't extract all of the juice. Next is the

masticating type, like a Champion, which doesn't aerate the juice much, but

doesn't extract all of the juice. Next is the gear-driven, like the Green Power,

they are the best bang for the buck in a juicer that extracts most of the juice

& doesn't

aerate it. Last is a press, such as the Norwich, for commercial use, costs about

$1200.

There is not much point in getting a centrifucal type, as they destroy too many

nutrients & only cost about $10 less than a Champion. The Champion will also

grind grains & make peanut butter. The grinder is $35 extra. The Green Power or

Gree Life is what I will buy next, when I can afford it. I'll give my Champion

to a family member.

I have a Green Power juicer and a hydraulic press. I took the discharged pulp

from the Green Power and placed it in the hydraulic press and got only a tiny

amount of juice from the spent Green Power pulp. Moral? Save your money and buy

a Green Power juicer.

The Vitamix is a power blender and includes pulp. It is a good choice

for people who believe juices are too concentrated, not food in its

natural form, and want the whole thing. I agree with the principle, but

I still like my juicer.

Juicers fall into at least 4 categories. There is the Acme type, which

is a centrifucal juicer. This type is the least expensive, but it

aerates the juice the most & produces the most heat, thereby destroying

more of the food value in the juice.

Next is the masticating type juicer, like Champion. They produce less

heat and aeration, but don't get all of the juice out of the pulp.

Then there is the dual-gear type, like Green Life. They don't juice soft

things like apples as easily, but there is a $15 accessory that helps

with this. I find that by alternating apples & carrots it works fine for

the soft apple. This unit also has a magnet & a far infra-red ceramic to

alter the juice, which they claim maintains the nutrition in the

refredgerator up to 48 hours. I believe all juice should be drunk

immediately after juicing, but I do like having some for later in the

evening, and the carrot juice doesn't turn bad-tasting as it did when I

used a Champion. The dual-gear units will juice green leafy things

superbly, even wheatgrass, so it gets out almost ALL the juice, and does

so with no heat.

Then there is the press, like the Norwalk. They are very expensive and

are intended as commercial units. I think they retail over $2000 US.

Having owned the first three types juicer, I prefer the Green Life,

hands down. Everyone I know who has had a Vitamix eventually went back

to their juicer if they had one, or bought one if they didn't. My health

food store reports this phenom too.

I don't know what form apricot kernels come in, but I believe sort of

like almonds.

The lifestyle that makes us sick will not help us get well. If your

husband wasn't scared enough by cancer to alter his diet at all, then

love him anyway and pray. Everyone who is lucky enough makes their own

decisions in life, and that is as it should be, regardless the outcome.

Will he drink water with food grade peroxide in it? That would raise his

O2 level some? WOuld he bother to do anything?

Ross Hansen asks:-

< Curious as to the groups' opinion on the value of

juicers: I have always felt one is better off eating the

entire fruit and/or vegetable. But perhaps a juice machine could be

beneficial as a nutritional adjunct to one's regular diet?>

**I used to own a juicer until I read about the negative effects of

drinking neat fruit juice (and after getting fed up of cleaning the

thing!)

If, like me, you are one of the 25% of the population that has an

execessive insulin response to sugar a juicer is not for you. The

fibre in the fruit acts to slow down the absorption of sugars into

the bloodstream. Therefore if you remove it the rate increases and

the pancreas responds by secreting high levels of insulin to process

the rapid rise of sugar in the blood. This leads to fluctuations of

blood sugar levels and does not help your training one bit. Suddenly

feeling weak and dizzy is a symptom of rapid changes in blood sugar.

Technically speaking, fruit juice is a processed food! From my own

experience eating the whole fruit, as nature intended, is far more

beneficial than drinking the juice.

Ross: Personally I have juice made by a juicer everyday. It is a powerful

tool for getting more food value out of fruits but especially vegetables. It

is difficult if not next to impossible to eat a pound of carrots but very

easy to juice them and drink the juice. This goes for leafy greens as well.

The dietary program that I co-founded (The Body Revolution Lifestyle Diet)

includes juices freshly made with a juicer for all our clients. Eating the

whole food is good, but juicing is more nutritious and allows greater

absorption. I recommend it for you to try and notice the results. Juicing is

not the only key to nutrition, but it certainly helps one get more

nutrients.

i've never owned a juicer, don't think i would ever care to. do you get the

fiber with just the juice? i would doubt it. apples are good for fiber,

but i like the crunch of the fruit. and i love cucumbers, but the thought

of swallowing cucumber juice is a bit revolting!

Greg,

I used a Champion until I got the Green Power. The apples were a big

disappointment after the Champion. But, I did find a way of doing them

with my other veggies. In the Champion, I juiced the apples last. In the

Green Power, they have to go first. I use the soft fruit gadget & unwind

it halfway. After the first few tries, this works pretty well. If it

starts getting " juicy " inside the juicer, where juice is coming up the

feedpipe, then I throw in a carrot or two, to run the apple through &

clean out the machine. Then, I go on with the apples again.

Hi ,

I have a GreenPower (Similar to GreenLife I think is the name

now) that I *love*. I've had it for about 5 years and it's still going

strong. It does wheatgrass, all kinds of fruit and vegetables, as well

as nuts and makes pasta. It's easy to clean, very powerful, and makes

great juice. It's a bit on the expensive side at around $400-$500, but

IMHO very worth it. It's one of the few juicers that will do just about

every imaginable type of food...

Hope that gives you something to think about :)

I have a Champion juicer, bought in 1991 and still going strong. Admittedly, I

don't juice every day, but often. It too juices fruits, veggies. I have't done

wheat grass with it. You can make 'ice cream' with a frozen banana. You can buy

attachments which are expensive, to turn it into a meat grinder or mill. But our

KitchenAid does that.

I agree. I have a Green Star. My brother has an Omega. The Green Star is a

much better and more versatile machine. You can't do wheat grass in an

Omega as the high speed will destroy the enzymes. If you can afford it, get

the Green.

I have a greenlife juicer and wouldn't trade it for

anything. For grasses, it does get a little foamy. I

also have a manual one (for grasses only) which almost

doesn't foam and cost only $30. I mix wheatgrass with

other vegetables so I use the greenlife and just scoop

off the foam and strain the rest.

Thanks for all you quick responses. The Omega 8001 lists wheatgrass

juicing as a feature and runs at 80 RPM (as opposed to 3000+ on the

other models). Would you say that's slow enough?

Several people have recommended the Green Star so I'll take some time

to consider the options.

I appreciate you help,

The Omega 8001 Nutrition Center juices wheatgrass. It

runs at an 80 RPM. 80-90 RPM is good, anyghing faster

will oxidize the juice. I've heard good things about

the Green Star, but it's more expensive than the

Omega.

Good Luck!!

The Omega my brother has must not be the model you mentioned as his is much

faster than that. I guess I spoke too soon without knowing all that facts.

You didn't speak too soon buddy!! As coincidence would

have it, I just happen to be familiar with the Omega

Nutrition 8001 model juicer. There are lots of

different models, and this on is a carbon copy of the

Samson juicer (or vice versa) and the Green Star,

Green Life, Green Power line. I know the Samson does

all kinds of groovy stuff, including wheatgrass, I

used to have one. But I gave it to a less fortuante

friend who greatly appreciates it by making me

smoothies on the weekends!!

Have a great evening!!

Kitty,

I'm glad you understand. My brother's Omega is a centrifugal juicer which

spins at high speeds. I wasn't aware that they made anything but those. If

it's similar to the Green Star, then it must be okay. I was speaking from

what I was familiar with and I just assumed all Omegas were created equal.

Now I know better.
