Guest guest
Eva, I am interested in the responses you get regarding pain management. I don't " know " what is best, but I would at least consider acupuncture. I have a question for you: Any idea as to where the pain is coming from? It sounds like your friend is doing rather well and should not have any pain. I guess I thought that only people who were in a worse condition would have such pain. Perhaps someone else on the list can/will address this issue. Guest guest
Thank you all, I will start researching products listed by Leonard today. So far I've tried different kinds of herbal tea: used to work for a while, calming him a little. Same with dr.Bach's Rescue Remedy. The problem is that my friend does not believe in holistic medicine, herbs, etc. He does not participate actively in his healing process, neither. He's kind of waiting for doctors – and me – to cure him. So far, I've been successful with maintaining his diet (macrobiotic) and persuading him to take supplements like dr.Rath's formula. I am very worried about him taking Morphine, Xanax, Tamazepam, and two more anti-depressants at the same time. I know that all this medication may even cause him to stop breathing while asleep. I do not want, however, to take away the little things he still does by himself, and start controlling his intake of drugs. Not only that I simply cannot evaluate or even understand the intensity of pain: we've been told several times by his doctors that it's OK for him to take all of it. The leading oncologist, however, admits that they cannot establish working pain treatment. Lack of sleep is a huge issue, too. Jack needs as much rest as possible. Even healthy person would be exhausted after months of restless nights… He's becoming less and less coherent, does not remember lots of things, is irritable and – generally speaking – very difficult to take care of. We leave in NW Indiana, and I heard a lot about Block Medical Center in ton. We cannot, however, afford a treatment there. I worry so much… I am afraid that we put too much faith in traditional approach toward pain treatment and now, in addition to old issues, we have addiction and depression on Jack's plate. Thank you for listening, Eva
