Guest guest
Kathy (or anyone who may know), Every year my family tries to pressure me to get a flu vaccination. I have had the flu twice in my life and it was pretty bad, but no seizure activity, luckily. Is getting a flu vaccination safe if you have epilepsy? Has anyone experienced problems after the vaccination? I am just curious. Thanks, Tricia vaccine injury conference > > >>Kathy, did you see this one? It's next weekend, unfortunately. Guest guest
Flu vaccines contain thimersol, or ethymercury, if it were me, I would NEVER give it to someone with a known epilepsy disorder. You can have insidious things happen after this, immune function goes down so you get the flu anyways, increase in seizures, cold hands and feet, headaches, candida overgrowths, numbing sensations, no sense of wellbeing (hard to describe), depression, anxiety, stupor, tingling in hands and tongue, things like that. I recommend personally no one on this list to get it, that based upon the tables I have seen and people who seem to already have neurotransmitter problems. Guest guest
I guess I never thought much about it because my seizures were so well controlled for the last 11 years. I even spent a year and a half off medications...got pregnant...had my baby and didn't have any problems until after she was born. I had a flu shot during my pregnancy as recommended by my OBGYN and had no problems with seizures, even though I was on no medication. But of course, everone is different. I suppose I would also get the big thumbs down from folks here when I mention that I have chosen to vaccinate my daughter. Guest guest
The thought process is this...some can, some can't. And if you can't, why? Some people are completely susceptible to mercury, aluminum, aborted fetal tissues, animal viruses and stealths and immune comprimise becuase of them and antibody production against tissues becuase of delayed carcinogenic lipids. Becuase vaccines are proven to have caused my kids and untold millions suffering. As they say, vaccines have saved million of lives and prevented untold suffering that could have been caused by polio, diphtheria, whooping cough (pertussis), measles and mumps. While previous generations kept their children home during outbreaks of common childhood illnesses, parents today have no such fears. >> (and as a good friend stated below with additional comments) No - parents today have NEW fears - autism, learning disabilities, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, SIDS, allergies, asthma, and a multitude of baffling cancers and neurological disorders! Sure glad they banished those scary measles from my life! I'd much rather have an AUTISTIC KID!!! Idiots!!! (now my comment) And yes, childhood brain tumours are said to be caused by the multiple carcinogens in vaccines, so I would venture to guess, we are still not out of the woods, they are so called proported safe, they are not proported to have long term safety studies EVER. (my friend goes on to say...) I just love the way 'they' keep getting away with making these groundless, and unsupported statements. It's like a mantra. They seem to think if they keep saying it often enough we'll all believe it. We need to go back to square one with these people and make them prove every bloody one of these fantastic claims they make. I'm sick of the way they do this 'brainwashing by media'. " Repeat after me and you too will believe: Vaccines have saved million of lives and prevented untold suffering NOT. (and my comment)... But if you choose to, this is your right to choose it, and I will not question it, for me, I question anything coming from the AMA, ADA and all bedfellows inbetween. Until it happens to you, you will never know how it feels. I am glad you never had a problem, but I would question whether or not some injury took place from them becuase of the seizures. Of course, I may be totally whacko for saying so, but call me whacky..... Kathy vaccine injury conference >> >>> >> >>> >> >>>>Kathy, did you see this one? It's next weekend, >unfortunately. Guest guest
but kathy...youre not the only one on the list. youre not the only one who's kids are brain injured, whatever the reason, and its not always " all about kathy and her crusade " . there are other people on this list and they have other issues and other problems and other opinions, and when they talk about them its really unfair to have it all come back to kathy and mercury and autism and vaccines. yes i do understand that this particular thread is about vaccine injury...but looking into archived posts, it manages to make its way into virtually every thing anyone mentions on this list. and personally i'd like to hear other things too. i have epilepsy. i dont have mercury poisoning. i dont have vaccine injury. i dont have autism. i have epilepsy. i have seizures. i have 40-60 a day, and for me three grand mals in two days is really a great run of low seizure activity. i would like some kind of input on things that work for THAT, and on what other people may have done that helped, and whatever. on what its like to live with epilepsy and what kind of challenges people face and what kind of things they do to keep on living their lives. what makes them happy, as someone on another list asked, what makes them thrive? rather than keep beating this whole mercury/vaccine thing into the ground. if your kids have seizures, they have seizures. if you think you know what caused them, that's wonderful, but...so??? they have seizures. deal with them. and maybe have a conversation with someone once in a while that doesnt swing back immediately to your cause. killfile me if you want, i just wanted to say what was on my mind. i already told someone else i wasnt going to do that, and wow..did i blow it or what? yes i did. --- Jim Blanco <kblanco@...> wrote: > -------------------------- eGroups Sponsor > -------------------------~-~> > Free @Backup service! Guest guest
You are not feeling well, so I don't hold that against you? My last communication to Jeannie was to help her see what was her etiology. If we can pinpoint that, wouldn't that be the first place to start? I pointed out that it can be so numerous it is not even funny, we are not made out of the same molds that it for sure! REad the communication and you estimate in your opinion if I am of value to the list? I think seizures are hell, I hate seeing them in my kid, so I worked on what worked for him, many of the things detailed to her was what I worked on in my son. I think I am susceptible to seizures as well, as I have had fainting spells that mimic seizures, so the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Notwithstanding, a lot of info we must first derive is what are the insufficiencies and weaknesses of the body, what are the imprints that left an indeliable mark on the body, via the comprimises of the immune system, and was that exogenous (outside sources) or internal genetic codings? Having that information would give you very good hints on how to control this crappy disorder. What are the things that you think may have caused this whole mess? Guest guest
kathy, i think you are of value to the list...a lot of what you say is dead on....but i also think i still stand by what i said...you sound , not ALL of the time but MOST of the time, as if you're on a mission regarding the vaccine injury thing, and it overshadows what other people are here for..to the point that a lot of the time its very difficult to talk about anything else. maybe its only me, but i find you a very overpowering personality. and as for etiology...ok for people who dont know, pinpointing that is the place to start...as long as it doesnt HAVE to lead irrefuteably back to where someone wants it to lead. as long as its investigated with a willingness to find the real cause..no matter what it may be. not with a predestination. i already know why i have seizures. and i also derailed so i'm going to shut up. > > > You are not feeling well, so I don't hold that > against you? > My last communication to Jeannie was to help her see > what was her etiology. Guest guest
I didn't want to clog the list with this thread, so we communicated (jeannie) and I privately, if you want me to post it, I will It was about what her etiologies were and what I felt should or could be looked at, she can post it to the list if she wants. We are completely at peace with this and have put it to rest. She is on the list and is a valuable member, as is everyone. She was looking for some help in some areas. Are you wanting something else from me? I regret your feelings towards me, I thought we were on equal grounds here, but I guess not. What helps epilepsy? Have loads of info on that. How to have a life with epilepsy, not sure if you can have one, but let me know about that one! I wish lists could " just get along " but emotions run high when people are ill. Guest guest
I am willing to find the solution whatever the cause may be \ Predistination to what, what do you think my motives are? I am not a trained physician or dietician or anything of the sort. I am just a mom, witnessing the slow death of a brain in my child(ren). I have just been through the mill and back and between, and somehow in the journey I have learned and documented a thing or two. I am a very inquisitous person, I don't let things lye as what is told me, I have to go around it, investigate it. Blame that on the " autism " in me I guess, but I have a very (with no braggin) high IQ and I have probably not a lot of patience (which I think is EQ, I hold in higher esteem than IQ). I tick a lot of people off becuase I assume they are on my loop or thread, so please forgive me for that up front. Do you want me to post my suggestions to Jeannie, I think they are rather interesting? I sense your EQ levels are much higher than mine and your sensitive nature has gotten you far. I tick > a lot of people off becuase I assume they are on my > loop or thread, > so please forgive me for that up front. i do the same thing, and its rather obvious i have no patience whatsoever. my frustration threshold is very very low and my tendency to just finally blurt things out is very very high. i wont ask forgiveness for it, that goes only so far. all i ask is that people please hear what im saying, hear my words, and respond to them, rather than respond to their own agenda. which is why i get frustrated here. i have asked, earlier, when i first started posting, for people to please just TELL me what they were talking about. i got a lot of " oh grow up " comments, and told by a couple of people that they were " through with the conversation " etc etc...which to me defies logic. if you have an idea or something you strongly feel people should know, why refuse to then help them understand? people respond to their own agenda and dont answer the things that are put to them. and again..it all goes back to one topic, one subject, one idea, one crusade. and its not the one i'm on the list for. is that my problem? maybe. Do you want > me to post my > suggestions to Jeannie, I think they are rather > interesting? i saw your post about questioning etiology, if thats the one you mean. yes some of those were interesting. I sense > your EQ levels are much higher than mine and your > sensitive nature > has gotten you far. i have no idea what EQ is...my IQ is high..probably too high for me to have much common sense. what i do know..because while i'm typing i'm losing the thread of what im talking about...little bitty constant seizures make it hard to hold a train of thought...is that id like to know what you think about things other than autism...i DO understand the connection...but i'd like to go down a different path. > Kathy > Re: [ ] Fw: vaccine > >> injury > >> >> conference > >> >> >>> > >> >> >>> > >> >> >>>> > >> >> >>>>Kathy, > >> >> >>>> > >> >> >>>>I happen to be in agreement with you about > >> >> vaccines. Are you > wanting something else from me? I regret your > feelings towards me, > I thought we were on equal grounds here, but I guess > not. i dont have any ill feelings toward you personally, i dont KNOW you personally. i have a hard time with being on a list i'm on because i'm looking for help and looking for people who have the same issues i do, and finding only ...well..extremely strongly worded articles and posts and posts and posts about something thats not really related to why i'm here. and i have a hard time with the frustration around having asked...as i said in another post, for some kind of reasonable help in understanding and being told that there's no time for that. i never liked the first reply i got on this list, which was being told to grow up, because i said that the things you were saying scared me. and i dont like seeing a post by someone, saying they're going to leave...because of all the things that have been bugging ME that i've been keeping quiet about. ive tried before to ask you things..and always get answers back that hit me as defensive and hostile..so i've stopped trying. my feeling was that if i didnt want to hear it was mercury/vaccine related, you didnt want to talk about it. that unless it was about that, there was no point.if i misread you, i apologize for that. What helps > epilepsy? Have loads of info on that. How to have > a life with epilepsy, > not sure if you can have one, but let me know about > that one! you can have one. i have one. most of the time im tired, but i have one. i have a lot of issues besides epilepsy that i deal with...other brain injury, other health conditions...but i have a life and a lot of the time my life is a whole lot of fun. not that it sounds like it right now, i'm sick and i'm tired and my moods not real great (can y'tell?). I wish > lists could " just get along " but emotions run high > when people are ill. > Kathy lists can just get along. when people actually talk to each other on some kind of human level...and this is probably the first time i've talked to you on any kind of human level. i have to thank you for responding without any rote exclamations, and without anything even remotely dogmatic. maybe if id talked to you like this earlier i wouldnt have yelled at you. my bad. > Re: [ ] Fw: vaccine injury > >> conference > >> > >> > >> > > >> >y'know...i hate to take a chance on starting a > >> >fight...although since i'm sure half of you > delete > >> my > >> >posts unread anyway it probably doesnt > matter..but > >> >this IS an epilepsy list..for people with > >> >epilepsy..who want to talk about it and > >> troubleshoot > >> >it and discuss it, and its frustrating as HELL > to > >> >constantly hear all this harping about mercury > and > >> >autism and vaccines and blah blah blah...this is > >> not > >> >the vaccine injury/autism/mercury poisoning > list. > >> its > >> >for people with epilepsy who want to talk about > it. > >> >and some of us know where we got our epilepsy > and > >> it > >> >has nothing to do with our dental work or our > >> vaccines > >> >or anything like that. > >> > > >> >i can respect that you guys feel that those > things > >> >caused seizures in you or the people you > love, and i > >> >have nothing but admiration for the fact that > >> you're > >> >standing up and fighting for your kids, but can > >> the > >> >rest of us please talk about other things > without > >> >being railroaded?? please?? > >> > > >> > > >> > > >> >--- <moira@...> wrote: > >> >> -------------------------- eGroups Sponsor > >> >> > >> >> > >> >> >> > >> >> >>Honestly, I'm not looking for an argument on > >> this > >> >> issue. Guest guest
I will try to remain on topic as best as I can Like the other poster that witnessed B vitamins as his cure, mine has been the revelation of mercury in the brain, holding tighlty to synapsis. I have gone down a lot of avenues, this makes the most sense for ME, maybe not for others, that is why I shared it. Other thoughts about thyroid and all others I shared I also have been enlightened by. Pray tell, what is the injuries you talk of? Viral related?
