Thanks for those words and how true!

Good comments, Judi...I concur. I hope my comments about some juicers

producing " heat " didn't get interpreted as meaning the juice got " warm " . I

didn't mean it that way... I think that what is being told to us by the

manufacturers as they compete for our business, is that there is, of course,

friction as the whirring blade hits the vegetable. This friction has to have

at least SOME heat to it, though I can't see that it is very MUCH heat

(therefore the resulting juice is not " warm " ).

However, I do wonder if they may have a point if one considers what is

happening at the molecular level. If we were as small as some of the

molecules, how would that " small " amount of heat appear to us? It's

interesting to think about, but I promise you it won't keep me from falling

to sleep tonight...

Juicing/juicers...

> I bought an Omega 4000. I was told to buy a Champion or some other

masticating juicer, but I chose the Omega instead. The quality of juice

that it produces is excellent. The pulp isn't as dry as the Champion (my

parents have a Champion), but it's not wet either. The juice is never warm,

and I've used both refrigerated veggies and room temp veggies to find out

for myself. It just does not heat up the juice. As a note...I originally

bought the Le' Quip juicer (an import), which heated up the juice quite a

bit; it was very warm. And the juicer leaked at the spout, so it returned

from whence it came. <g>

Faith has a HUGE part of it. I've found that out on more than one occasion.

One can go through the motions, but without the heart and soul it's just not

the same.

Just look at the person next to you....I'll bet there's a cell phone stuck

in their ear. I've given up on worrying so much about the EMFs and

concentrate on positive. I think sometimes the more we focus on the

negative, the more the negative affects us. Life's just too short for that.

Nope. Not at all. :) But there are some juicers that do actually heat up the

juice. The Le' Quip was one of them. I believe that it can affect the juice at

a molecular level if it gets too warm, likely destroying some of those good

enzymes. Again....just my $.02. :)

OK; I didn't realize some of them would create that much heat. And, if it

does get too warm, it certainly can alter the chemistry of the various

substances.
