She is getting some fun things: still being a Barney Fan she is getting the computer game about exporing the neighborhood. She is getting an Elmo Under the Sea Computer game. She is getting an explorer kit with a telescope, binoculars, compass, watch and camera. She is getting the cardboard blocks that look like bricks. OH, and she is getting a magic wand that has beads in it that you watch as you manipulate the wand and it sounds like the rain. She is also getting some books. Wow, i guess I'm done! Man they are expensive, and so are the games! The kids on the bus have them and he wants one. I'm not sure that he can handle the fine motor aspect of it, I've never really played with one, but he'll probably have fun trying! My daughter is much easier, she wants and umbrella and a Mickey Mouse keychain from the Disney store...can you tell we don't have cable T.V.? Only PBS...no commercials. LOL For the first time in my life that I havn't had to watch two channels try to come through on one during certain weather conditions (tho if it rains really hard we don't get any picture, lol) ....and no more snowy pictures. :-) We're even far enough away from the metro area to get all three networks out of there over the dish. I don't know if you guys read my post about not replacing the vcr when it broke. Well our has been broke for well over 6 months now. asked santa for a DVD. I guess we know what he misses.LOL No cable here either just pbs. Mom doesn't mind. but the kids think its awfull. I won't spend the money for a satilite dish either. We've been pretty satisfied with DN. :-) I see that Charter communications in Roch is rearranging their basic and extended basic, they're moving 3 programs to extended and keeping the price the same for the basic, really wierd thing is they really don't get that many channels for the 14$ compared to the basic programming in Dishnetwork. If I was those people I'd really concider going to a dish since they only have one cable company in that city and it keeps cutting more and more out of their basic lineup.....of course they would probably need their own home. On a good day we got 2 channels, and that was fine with us. Now we have digital cable, a hundred or so channels, the kids watch Nickelodeon, we watch news, a couple of shows on NBC, and of course - football! Do we use all the channels, not a chance.
