We drove 7 hours to get there and it was worth every minute. Arlene and Pete and drive from Canada, but they are really nuts anyway! Tina and her crew come from Florida. So as you can see, it is well represented from lots of different places. I think I'll just wait for awhile before I run the idea by him. LOL If we were to bring the family we would have to drive. I would be a nervous wreak with on a plane. He had really really serious sensitivities to noise and I don't know if his ear muffs would block out the noise of take offs with the plane. I would not enjoy him freaking for 4 hours or so. I'd rather drive. Actually this is our next task with . Our van is now 5 years old and we were looking at new vechicles and would not even get in a new van. He cried and said he wanted his old van. I wonder if the old one will still be on the road in 20 years from now???? This is what I think is the hardest thing about Autism, This is so frustrating at times. I have to keep reminding myself that things are getting better all the time. By next year, Maybe I'll have him recovered!!!!! I'm working really hard. LOL if you do come, it will be the perfect opportunity for our girls to get together. And us too of course. I think Kent said it would be like the 3rd weekend in june like Father's day weekend which really works out for us. I am getting together with Connie whom i met at the suaree. Maybe he will always want to go on a plane once you try it with him. I don't know if your hubby will agree to let you go without him because then he will miss all the fun!!! My DH was there and he can't wait to go back next year. I think the Dads really get alot out of it because they know they are not alone and we always reach out anyway. I even over heard him discussing some pretty personal teen age issues about amanda to one of the other dads!!! I was so proud of him. But he felt comfortable enuf to be doing it.
