Guest guest
Hi Bob, You have a good instinct about the supposed significance of a " so called genetic " cause of cancer or other diseases. Since Cancer is suc a big money maker as is--why not make it even more so. Basic causation will ALWAYS be based on assumptions allocating hereditary causes and environmental causes. In order to make patient-consumers feel ever more powerless to change their " genetic fate " the scientific pedigree of high technology genetic rseach and science is used to shift the focus of individual and regulatory authorities to support more corporate qick fixes and shortcuts that undermine long term healthful pactices that might be too labor intensive and too costly to maximize revenue for corporate interests. This is the reason there is never a shortage of industry and insurance company sponsored " research grants " to prove ever more diseases are caused by genetic predisposition. arnold
