Guest guest
Dear Cuneyt, let me share the little bit I know about coffee and roasting it. As far as I am informed, people instinctivly drink coffee for helping their arousal - not because of the caffeine that is only detrimental, but because of the niacin which comes into being during the roasting process. So decide: if you want niacin drink the roasted coffee. Another information: nescafé and its like is blended with wheat flour (as are almost all ground spices you can buy in the supermarket), which contains gluten and gliadin. If you have to avoid gluten and gliadin, avoid nescafé and other brandnames likewise (same for all ground kitchenspices). Hope this helps and good wishes! Guest guest
When my FIL was on the protocol and doing 4 coffee enemas a day, we used an organic breakfast blend bean which was definitely roasted. There was no mention of green coffee beans made to us so the thought never occurred to us that would be an option. I think the fact that the green coffee beans are almost impossible to grind and that you can't get much from them in brewing makes using roasted beans a reasonable choice. Guest guest
Cuneyt, The coffee company recommended by the Gerson people (and tell them it's for the Gerson protocol to be sure you get the right coffee and you get a discount) is Cafe Mam, 1-888-223-3626, www.cafemam.com It's organic and very lightly roasted (light brown), grinds up easily and the brew smells nice. Its about $36 for five pounds and that includes the UPS shipping.

Guest guest
Cuneyt Hey we have all asked the same questions you have! Use roasted organic coffee (from health food store or a natural food coop) ground fine enough to use in a drip cone (the old hand held Melita filter). Use brown non bleached paper filters. (If you have a garden compost, you can throw you old coffee grinds and the filter into the compost). I know that a lot of people boil their coffee. When I was initiated by a lady who had had cancer twenty odd years ago and who has been doing coffee enemas just about every day for that long, she said not to boil the coffee. I have been doing coffee enemas for 2.5 years – hardly ever miss a day. They are energizing, cleansing and refreshing. You will learn to love them.
