Dr. Mittelman:

Sorry to bother you but I need your qualified advice. I am a cancer patient sent

home to die a lot of time ago, I am on alternative medicine only, I have been

depressed in bed since many months ago, I feel very tired and some people say

that it is due to cancer and mercury feelings , I have nine of them in my mouth

since 27 seven years ago more or less, I am not living in the USA now so I am

afraid that I will not be able to find a qualified dentist here, my question is

would it be more dangerous to take them out ( I mean by a not qualified dentist

) or leaving them the way they are? How much time do mercury fillings last in

mouth? Do we need to change them out several times in life?. I am confused. I

will thank any advice.

Thank you .

Gabby.

a,

If you were to have the fillings removed incorrectly, that would

be very dangerous. If they're 27 years old, I don't feel that it's

imperative at all to remove them. If these fillings break down, one

by one, and have to be removed, they should be done one at a time

using the proper method. For more on the proper method, go to

www.amalgam.org

Many feel that chelation while the fillings are in place is

improper - the chelating may pull the mercury from the fillings into

your body. I spoke with Dr. Majid Ali, a leading integrative

physician (founder of The Capital Univ. of Integrative Medicine),

about this and he disagrees - says that you can have chelation done

to get mercury out of your body while the fillings are in place.

It might be helpful if you could let me know where you are

located. Perhaps we know of an holistic dentist in your area.

Good luck to you.
