Thoughts on Combined Surgery and confused about trans nasal wiring

Hi Donna,

Dr. Pashby did my son's two surgeries - ptossis repair at 8 weeks (slings)

and then widening of openings at 18 months.

I was told the 2nd surgery was a medial canthoplasty using the 'jumping man

procedure' which basically left sideways 'w's on the inner corners of

Keaton's eyes.

I don't know if other people have had this surgery as I see people post

about 'trans nasal wiring'. Can someone please tell me what this is

procedure is?

Did you find out from Dr. Pashby which procedure he would be doing for the

2nd surgery? I would find out before making any decisions.

Keaton's eyes are wider but he has a lot of scarring which are hidden by his

glasses. I was just looking at Halle's pictures and she doesn't have the

same scarring - neither does Micah. In fact, I am absolutely amazed by

Micah's results as I never would have thought he had BPES and can't help but

compare results as my son is also of Korean/chinese heritage.

Keaton's supposed to have more surgeries later on including the building up

of his nasal bridge. It's supposed to be done by Dr. Pashby and Dr.

Forrester at Sick Kids in Toronto but after having seen all of the different

photos and results I think I'll be talking to more plastic surgeons before

making any decisions.
