Guest guest
Hi there Bipin's first surgery (temporary slings) at Moorfields was postponed a few weeks ago because he had a cough. We now have a new date, but it's only 8 days before we go away to Spain on holiday. The secretary that I spoke to said that they usually recommend that the patient doesn't travel for at least 2 weeks after the op, but I don't think she necessarily knew about his specific case or how his recovery might be. So my question is - from other people's experience of this op on a 1 year old , what do you think the possibilities of infection might be? can you think of any other reasons why it's best not to travel? We're reluctant to postpone it again as it could well take another 3 months to get rescheduled. Thanks for your help! Tessa
