I just got back from my unit, I went in to turn in my things to clear

supply. When I got there, the Battalion Operations NCO was in the supply

room, MSGT Vetor, which is also a long time family friend. He asked me what

I was doing? I told him clearing supply because I ETS next friday. He asked

why I was getting out, I told him because of th Anthrax Vaccination Program.

He went on to ask me how long I'd been in, I told him 16 years. His response

was, you are giving up 16 yrs. because of the Anthrax Vaccine? I said YES!

Sgt. Vetor said that the " PROGRAM " does NOT include the National Guard or

the Reserves! " Only active duty " or troops being deployed overseas (since

when?) I said it includes EVERYONE in the military, EVERYONE!!! He also told

me that the Adjugent General (MG )of Indiana said that " NO ONE IN

HIS COMMAND WILL GET THE ANTHRAX VACCINATIONS " . This come out of a meeting

last week with the AG and top ranking members of the National Guard. I

believe that the AG takes his orders from the Governor, and the President? I

debated the issue for about 30 minutes with him, the other four guys in the

supply room just sit there amazed that I knew more than Sgt. Vetor. Friend

or not, I will dispute this with anyone! He said that he checks the website

(DoD) every 2-3 days. I told him no wonder he was so " mis-informed " . I told

him to check out www.anthraxvaccine.org, if he wanted to learn more than

what the DoD will tell him. He said he would check it out.

After clearing supply, I had to go see our CO. This was a real treat!

He was totally clueless about the vaccinations. I started out by telling him

about being forced into taking the vaccine during Desert Storm. I told him

the reason for giving up 16 yrs of service was because I refuse to be

vaccinated with " experimental " drugs again. He listened to me for about 30

minutes. Which he is a little more informed on what is happening to the

military. He asked if there was any way to change my mind about getting out?

I said the " ONLY " way I would stay is " you get official documentation from

Sec. of Defense Cohen, or President Clinton saying that I can finish my 20

yrs without being vaccinated, I will talk it over with my wife, and give you

an answer. But, only with the signed documentation excluding me from the

vaccination program. " He told me that he would do everything in his power to

keep me in the unit. He called the 1st Sgt. in and asked him to get the AG

number so he could call him. The 1st Sgt. came back in a minute with the

number, and the CO tried to call. Of course no one was in the office today.

So, the CO called Battalion HQS. and asked to talk to BN CO, he wasn't in.

He did talk to the XO, Major (can't remember his name) and told him what he

was trying to do. The major asked to talk to me, I filled him full of

knowledge also. He (the Maj.) told me he would personally get the

documentation I need to stay in. He called the CO about an hour later while

I was out talking to the troops about the Anthrax Vaccinations, no one in

the unit was aware that they were going to be getting them. I had a good

time telling them about the Program, Executive Order 13139, about the people

that have refused, the people getting " sick " because of the shots. I felt

good that I was able to inform them about something our chain of command has

not said the first word about. I handed out 4-5 copies of EO 13139, and some

other documents about the program I have. they were shocked to find out

about all of this. Many of them told me they would not take the shots. I

hope they stick to it. There were 2 guys there that have not gone to basic

training yet, I told them they will get there shots at basic, they looked at

each other and said " BULLSHIT " . I told them it was there choice, stick to

it.

The CO called me back into his office and told me that he will get in

touch with MG to see what he can do. Meanwhile, " I got this number

you can call from the Maj., 1-877-getvacc. I told him I've got that number

at home. He said he will call and have them fax everything they can about

this vaccine and to come back tomorrow and he would give it to me. I told

him I would be back. He is a very nice guy, willing to anything for his

troops. Let's see what kind of BS I'll get... I will not extend or reenlist

without proper documentation from the President or the Sec. of Defense.
