URGENT- S2810 and S2809 Mental Health Screening and VICP

This is Brown's best advice (from Senator Wayne Allard's Office - CO):

Both S2810 and S2809 will likely end up in an Omnibus bill (they are in

the process of writing it, it will contain several appropriations issues

including these two) which will be voted on this Friday or Saturday, Nov

19th or 20th. Our best hope is to alert our senators and Congressmen that

unless we get this language out of the Omnibus bill (which is not finished

yet, but we have to hurry) , they will both end up passing under one bill

without the knowledge of most of the legislators. I was told that is is

extremely important to ask your Senator and Congressman to weigh in with

the repective chairs of each committee, information below. says that

just the fact that several Senator's offices call these chairs about these

issues is a big deal and has alot of impact.

Please do these two things ASAP:

Number One: Regarding S2810:

Call, fax, and email your own Senators and Congressmen and specifically ask

them to please weigh in with Senator Arlen Specter, PA, chair of Labor,

HHS, and Education Committee. You can also weigh in yourself by faxing him

at 202-228-1229 or calling 202-224-4254 Make this point:

S2810 will likely go into the Omnibus bill and will double funding for

screening at public schools for mental illness. This will lead to mandatory

drugging of America's children with Ritalin, Paxil, etc. Please forward

this issue to the 109th session and allow it to have appropriate

consideration and debate.

my note: I was told that NO ONE likes this idea. They will not even know

this language exists once it is in the Omnibus bill, we need to get

someone to raise enough stink to get it out now.

Number Two: Regarding SB2809:

Call, fax, and email your own Senators and Congressmen and specifically ask

them to please weigh in with Senator Judd Gregg, NH, chair of the Commerce,

Justice, and State Committee. You can also weigh in yourself by faxing him

at 202-224-4592 and calling 202-224-3324. Make this point:

SB2809 will fund the Department of Justice to defend the National Vaccine

Injury Compensation Program AGAINST

vaccine injured applicants. Taxpayers already pay 75 cents per dose to fund

the VICP and it is already next to impossible for anyone to file a claim,

much less succeed in being awarded compensation. Please forward this issue

to the 109th session and allow it to have appropriate consideration and

debate.

my note: most legislators have no clue that is is a bad idea or what this

is all about. Brown told me we should all let them know how hard it

is for those of us who either don't qualify to file a claim with VICP and

that even those of us who can face an average of 7 years before our case

would go through VICP. Make the point that it is hard enough already and

funding the DOJ for new positions will only make it worse!!! This was

supposed to be a non-adversarial program.

Number Three: If you do the two things listed above and still have the

energy, please call or fax these Senators as well regarding both issues as

they were sympathetic and helped reverse the amendment on Homeland Security

that blocked thimerosal related lawsuits:

IT IS A MESS - read all the emails I've sent - they all were sent to me

yesterday!

This time of year AFTER the election and before some of them are out of
