Hello,

We recently moved to PA & I was wondering if anyone could point me to

where I could find PA vax laws. I have several questions & hope

someone can help me out!!!

1.) We have two children (1 & 2 y/o) who received a few vax's until

we better understood all the issues & could make an educated

desicion. We are no longer vaxing and are now seeing a new Dr.

(obviously as our old one is in another state!) I'm curious if we

need to file a religous exemption now even though they aren't near

school age ( & might even be homeschooled) so we don't get any flack

from any Dr.'s or anybody else should it ever come up. If so, how do

I file this exemption? Also, because they did receive a few

vaccinations, will anyone give me a hard time claiming a religious

exemption?

2.) We are expecting our 3rd baby any time now. I will be giving

birth in a hospital & am concerned about what we will encounter there

when we refuse the Hep B vaccine. Should we have filed a religous

exemption already. Or, can we just decline it & if they give us a

problem, inform them we have religous reservations about vaccinations

& that we are not giving them to our baby?

I would really appreciate any/all advice & information on this

issue. I don't have too much time (hopefully) before baby's born &

should have completed this research by now...but, I'm sure as parents

you understand how *something* is always pulling one way or the

other!!

TIA,

One can vax selectively with a religious exemption provided it is done on the

sly. If anyone does discover you have done some vaxxes, it is unimportant

because what matters are your " beliefs " TODAY not yesterday when you were

vaxxing.

It seems anyone can access our medical files. There is no privacy. It will

become even more difficult to vax selectively if we complacently allow the

national vax registry.

I don't believe there is anything in place " requiring " doctors to report non

vax status. They just get pissed when you mess up their reward percentage.

But again, with an exemption letter in your file, there should be no problem

if you are turned in.

Have you considered locating a doc more in line with your views? Here is

some info:

First of all, lemme state my mantra, " Remember, naturopaths are pediatricians

too! "

Okay, now that that is done, you can contact Mothering Magazine. They have a

database of doctors who have been recommended by their readers as being

either alternative or open-minded.

You can also ask at your local health food stores for recommendations.

(That's how I found an alternative Internal Medicine MD)

Also, you can ask for recommendations from direct entry midwives. Don't know

that I would set much stock in any recommendations from a CNM because they

tend to be more medically oriented. Just gotta know your CNM's beliefs and

practices.

And now on to the websites where you can search for docs:

Some parents are using homeopaths as their primary for themselves and their

children.

Classical homeopaths can be located at

Also a list of homeopaths but not necessarily classical

You file it with YOURSELF - so that you have it to whip out should Child

Protective Services show up on your doorstep.

Also you file it with school authorities when your children attend those

lovely institutions.

You don't need to have anything to do with your State Health Department and

it is in your best interest to never contact them and give your real name.

There's no reason to contact them anyway.

You can have a lawyer write the letter for you and he'll even put it on his

scary lawyer stationery, but there is NO reason to do this. If you've got

about $400 bucks burning a hole in your pocket - go right ahead! :)

However, if you want a just as legal letter for less money, go to the

bookstore at www.ThinkTwice.com You can purchase your state's law and a

sample letter of exemption for $8. For that $8 you also receive their list

of suggestions for submission. I imagine that you file one for each child.

The letters I have seen only include one child's name.

Wow, that price is much easier on the ears! Filenbaum charged a friend of

mine almost $400.

From what I heard I feel Filenbaum is taking advantage of more non-vaxers by

over charging for his services.

Boy, it sure sounds that way. Because as I understand it, that $400 was

simply to write the letter. He didn't have to get involved with school

authorities or anything complicated. I'm wondering what kind of lawyer is

he. Does he specialize in vaccine issues? In another words, is that ALL he

does?

My attorney suggested you list all children now alive and add something to

the effect of " and all children born after this date " or " all subsequent

children "

I have never seen a lawyer charge more than $25-$50 for writing a letter for

you.

Yeah, Filenbaum is making quite the pretty penny for himself. He offered to

charge me his " discounted rate " of 375 for the letter to cover both of my

children...

I've seriously been thinking of going over to Office Max or some such

place - and making up my own stationary " From The Law Office Of Whalen &

Whalen "

---and then typing up my own religious exemption ...

Kathleen,

He says that vaccine issues are only a part of his practice. But, a very

lucrative one. He told me that he gets clients from as far away as Sweden,

and that he fights vaccine issues in court all the time. He has made a niche

for himself, in that most lawyers are not educated enough about vaccine

issues to be able to prosecute or defend anyone.

He writes his vaccine letters with the state laws included, and a statement

that he reads to you over the phone, with you agreeing that it is against

your religion to not trust that - " God, your provider, has given your

child(ren) adaquate immune systems and that you do not wish to vaccinate

them because it shows your mistrust in God. " Then he adds a few Biblical

quotes to it --and that's it !
