Dear all,

I've been busy and missing out on all the debate but I thought I'd throw in some good news. In about 20 minutes I leave NYC w/ designers from around the world to Mtubatuba, South Africa to meet with engineers, medical and relief professionals from 5 African nations (including Kenya) to take part in the long awaited development workshop to develop and refine designs for mobile/satellite health clinics to combat HIV/AIDS in rural areas of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Check out our site for more details.

Cheers

Cameron

Ps. We might hold another workshop to buiild a working prototype in 6-12 months in Kenya if things go well in Kwa-Zulu Natal. -- NGOs in Kibera and Mombasa are first on our list to receive clinics.

pps. As a CEO of a non-profit I took in $400US in 2004 and 2003 -- and these two quotes are most of the reason why I stopped talking about the problem and tackling the solution....

Cameron,

Thank you for your continuing and inspiring effort in the AIDS relief work. I have been wanting to be in contact.

Viewing your email below, I feel propelled to introduce the project that is being formed by Humanitus (www.humanitus.net), using radio technology to disseminate, sort, congregate information via a mobile vehicle. I thought to connect you both to consider the collaboration work for a hybrid solutions. Trent O'Keefe leads Humanitus and his main focus is in Uganda now. That is the starting point. He along with the network of his, including oneVillage Foundation, would like to further spread the effort across Africa and beyond.

Currently, OVF is bringing together Silicon Valley consortium to raise the awareness of a holistic approach for economic revitalization both locally and globally. We thought this approach is one that would help address the impact AIDS has on the societies. Building eco living community, for instance, enabled by ICT for communication and connection for knowledge sharing and resources flow, is one that we are advocating as well as building.

I wish you ALL the BEST in your endeavor. Your seed of hope is spreading.
