Subject: Sensory Integration!!!!!!!!!!!With all the talk of Jello

Submerssion, Pudding, etc etc etc.........I have recently found a breakthru

in the area of Sensory Integration........Since it snowed a bunch and was

still snowing.....I thought what the heck I might as well take advantage of

it and do that sensory stuff yuns are always talking about with

Mattie......So I took him outside and stuck him in the

snow............Right.....................I was sensoring him.............He

looked Really kewl covered him all the way up and like all you saw was these

big blue eyes going back and forth............I figured if we were going to

attempt this Sensory Integration stuff, lets go all out and do it

right......Mattie has a very small nose so I sent TJ in to fetch a Carrot for

his nose.........Anyway, these people kept stopping their cars going up and

down the street........They would stop and roll down there windows and just

stare.....they must of thought i was way kewl or something........one guy

even asked " hey dude that is so kewl, where'd you get those movey, blinky

eyes " ............he said something to his wife about going to KMART to see if

they had them as he was leaving.........So I thought hmmm this is a problem,

I didnt really no how long yuns would think your supposed to do this Sensory

stuff..........so I asked TJ (my 12year old)......what he thought.....he said

dunno lets go eat lunch im hungry......I said yea good idea, I don't see why

not......and we went in and ate lunch......I figured I'd let this Sensory

Stuff do its thing, and come backfrom lunch and see if it worked......Well we

ate lunch and played some basketball in the basement and completely lost

track of time......(by the way i won).....So we went back out and looked for

Mattie and he was completely snowed over....I told TJ....so kewl.....a little

extra sensory stuff is great right.........We then sholveled him out and

picked him up and it was the funniest thing that sensory stuff really

works........he had no signs of low muscle tone,in fact his muscle tone was

outstanding....real rigid.....kinda like he had been working out or

something....TJ looked at me with a smile on his face and said gee Dad this

Sensory thingy really works........Anyway what I need from yuns is how long

does it generally take for a 2year old to thaw out after you have completed

this type of therapy..................

Awaiting your reply,

Tim :DSensory Integration Specialist

Ok....I am beginning to really dislike AOL. I don't get most of the original

posts from this list anymore. I can't find the " sensory integration repost "

and I have been looking forward to Tim posting it again! Can someone send it

to me privately? Please.

Thanks in Advance,

Tim, I think you should publish this in an OT journal. Sounds very

successful to me. Why shouldn't you share this momentous discovery with the

rest of the world.
