Thanks Maggie:

I was just diagnosed and haven't had to do anything yet. I can't

believe that they can't find the underlying cause to this and fix

that, rather than treating the symptoms. I there is anyone who can

offer hope along those lines I would appreciate it. It just seems

like surgery is inevitable and if that is the case, maybe we are

better of earlier before our esouphigus is to large.

Dropping in to say hello ....

I don't think I have had a chance to post as I have been busy all weekend

and just getting back on even keel.

I have only made soap once and it was melt and pour soap at a workshop I

attended at a local summerfest.

I belonged to this group once before and had to leave due to getting too

busy but hope to be able to join in again now.

, how far off are you getting your srp training. I would get that under

your belt, then move to the offshore environment but also remain in the A & E pool

on time off from rotation to keep your hand in and pension plan.

you could then go back to staffs later in life full time if the offshore market

dries up

Hi and welcome to group! You will find that we are a group here that

does support each other. You will find lots of information by going

back and reading the previous posts. Also there are histories of people

in the 'files' sections that can be quite informative. If you

have any questions, please post them and I am sure that someone will answer

them.

Keep well!!!!!

Hi, ! I'm Jan. I'm a full-time mom to a 17 month old son named .

WE just started questioning vaxing, and DAvid only has one more set to go until

he turns 5. We told them NOT to do the last set because we need to do more

research. His 18 month appointment is coming up, and we need to decide before

then.

I'm here to learn as much as I can.

Welcome !

We live in Kentucky, (so we're kind of neighbors), : ) and we have 2 children

that are 12 and 13. Unfortunately they are fully vaxed. I didn't get the

message until about 3 years ago when we got our first puppy and he had a

reaction to one of his shots. I started to research animal vax and then a light

bulb went on in my head that said, " Wait a minute... what about vax for humans

causing problems too? " So, that's how I ended up where I am today. (What a

blessing in disguise our dog has been. He also opened my eyes to homeopathy.

We have closed the door on allopathic medicine. Homeopathy has been a huge

blessing to us in regards to our health).

My children were supposed to get a tetanus shot at the age of 11 or 12, so I

have managed to save them from one jab each so far. : ) I know of no one

personally that doesn't vaccinate, so this list is an awesome place for support

and for additional information.

Congratulations on your impending adoption! How exciting for your family!! I'm

very surprised that all you got was a small lecture on the immune system of your

new child. (and you're right, that's precisely the reason they shouldn't be

shot up with a bunch of junk!) It's encouraging to hear that one may still

adopt without having to vaccinate the child. I think that question was raised

here sometime ago and no one seemed to know if it was possible to circumvent

that issue when adopting from a foreign country.

All the best to you and your growing family!

Kay in Kentucky

*************************

My name is , and we live in Indiana. I am thrilled to have

this board where I can gather information. For so long I have felt

at a loss as to where to get the resources that I need.

We have chosen to not vaccinate any of our children. We started

finding information about 4 months before the birth of our first

child, and decided to wait until we could make a more informed

decision. Well, that led to never having them done! And I'm so

thankful for that. Our basic reasoning was that there was no proof

that they even did what they claimed to do, and the risk wasn't worth

a questionable benefit.

We are in the process of adopting a child from Russia, and when our

agency found out that we don't vaccinate, they gave me a gentle

speech about how these kids come over with compromised immune

systems, so it's especially important to get them vaccinated. Ha!

Sounds like the perfect reason to NOT vaccinate him, in my opinion.

That was actually what triggered me to find a board where I could

update some of my existing information.

My brother and his wife are the only people I know who don't

vaccinate, so I'm happy to have a place to share with like-minded

people. Thanks in advance!

Can you get the child from Russia

> without the vaccines?

Thanks for the welcome!

I obviously can't do anything about the vaccines that our son has

already received in Russia (sad--they can't afford enough food, but

most of the kids get their vaccines!), but I am under no obligation

to vaccinate him further when he comes home. We had to sign a form

that basically said we were aware of the " need " (their word, not

mine) for vaccines, and were willing to assume any risk involved in

not vaccinating. This was not something unheard of with our agency.

They had successfully placed children with other families that don't

vaccinate. I'm sure some of it depends on where you adopt from, and

in Russia it is most likely dependent, too, on which region. Where

we are adopting from has a very adoption-friendly judge that wants

nothing more than to see this kids thriving in American homes.

Therefore, she makes no issue of things like this.

Hi Kirstin, welcome to this group! There are several of us in the greater

Rochester area. Most of us have been soaping for a number of years.

Myself, I am only half hour or so north of you in Ontario. If you have any

specific questions feel free to ask. What type of soapmaking are you

intersted in? CP (cold process), HP(Hot Process), M & P (melt and pour),

ect...?

Take care and welcome again!

Shaye

new member

Hi all.

I'm new. I just joined last week. I'm in upstate NY (around Palmyra

area)

and am really interested in learning how to make soap. I'm mainly

interested in vegetable glycerine based, as well as goat's milk soaps... I

have an intolerance to beef byproducts.

Looking forward to learning all I can from you folks and getting some

great

advice for a beginner.

Thanks,

Kirstin
