Hi All,

Just given these results - any comments welcome. At the moment I take HRT but no

thyroid meds: had RAI 5 weeks ago for Graves and am waiting to go hypo. I may

need to take propanolol if that's important, and Cetirizine (?sp) as its the

start of hay-fever season. Comments are on reports.

20/3/12

Serum Folate 14.8 (4.4-20.0)

Serum Ferritin 45 (29-470)

Vitamin B12 560 (180-900)

Vitamin D 22 nmol/L (less than 25nmol/L: severe vitamin D deficiency)

Sodium 140 (133-146)

Potassium 4.6 (3.5-5.3)

Bicarbonate 28 (22-29)

Urea 3.7 (2.5-7.8)

Creatinine 70 (50-95)

Phosphate 1.13 (0.8-1.5)

Alkaline Phosphatase 80 (30-130)

Total protein 71 (60-80)

Uric Acid 259 (140-360)

Albumin 42 (35-50)

Calcium (adjusted) 2.32 (2.20-2.60)

Calcium 2.34 (2.20-2.60)

eGFR calculated MDRD 77 mL/min/1.73m*2

Glucose (serum) 4.5 nmol/L 3.0-7.8

EGFR 60-89: Indicates stage 2 CKD if pre-existing evidence of kidney disease.

Also, from 15/5/12

TSH 0.10 (0.27-4.2) (low)

FT4 19.2 (12.0-22.0)

FT3 6.8 (3.1-6.8)

I obviously need to take some vitamin D - recommendations? Is it better as D on

its own or as part of a multivitamin/mineral? Or both?

Many thanks,

Cath
