No it is not necessary to hold off on taking iodine with an RT3 issue. I continued to take it while clearing the issue. When I was working on RT3 I avoided refined foods and sugars as much as I could as this is a stressor on the adrenals and liver and can drive RT3 up. I took 1 scoop of the TLC 2x a day. I just added 8 oz of water with one scoop and had it for my morning and afternoon snack.

, I had read somewhere that when the adrenals are stressed, they downregulate the thyroid so that it doesn’t stress the adrenals further. This causes the thyroid to produce RT3 to slow itself down. If you have RT3 issues, does that mean correcting the adrenal insufficiency will in turn eventually restore the RT3 to their normal levels? The adrenals are part of the RT3 issue. It is liver, adrenals and poor diet that contribute.
