I think there is a huge correlation if there are Sjogren's-like symptoms accompanying hypothyroid. I always get dry eyes and mouth when I go very hypo. When teeth are not moist with saliva, they become brittle and more cavity-prone. I worked in the dental field for a long time and saw a lot of Sjogren's, now I'm wondering how many were actually just hypo?? Interesting.
