Guest guest
Hello All, In trying to help my 4 yr old with her early puberty, I am addressing her low thyroid. She started on 1/4 grain Nature Throid but she seemed to get worse on that amount so after a week I upped her to 1/2 grain. I was thinking that since the body down regulates it's own production of thyroid when you supplement, maybe the body began down regulating but she wasn't taking enough so her body was getting even less thyroid hormone than doing nothing at all. Is 1/2 grain too much for a 4 yr old? She is really quite hypo, but I don't want to over do it. She is also on iodine and selenium drops. And maybe that could be contributing to the " acne " looking bumps sprouting up on her face. But I'm sure the iodine isn't negatively affecting the other areas of obvious puberty. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
