Guest guest
Read this site naturalthyroidchoices.com Buist who runs this group has also had herthyroid removed. I believe she has been in cancer recovery nowfor eight years, and she owes it to iodine. Her story and the regime are on her site. And she is now a naturopathic doctor. Many of us have also dissappeared fibrocystic breast lumpswith iodine as well. And for me, I am dissappearing Hypothyroidism in myselfand my daughter. There is so much info. but that is a start. In health,AliOn Apr 22, 2011, at 7:22 AM, photo wrote: Hi I am new to this group and I have had my thyroid removed due to thyroid cancer in 2000 & 2002 (each side). I have had low TSH but less than normal Free T4 and was wondering if iodine would help. I have fibrocystic breasts so I am hoping to kill two birds with one stone. I am not sure it will work for me as as I said, I do not have a thyroid. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Guest guest
Are you on Synthroid or Levoxyl? With no thyroid iodine won't fix your thyroid levels. Adequate treatment will. I was on Synthroid for 6 years and had horrible labs and felt awful. When I switched to desiccated thyroid I did much better. www.naturalthyroidchoices.com is my website. Guest guest
Hello Anne ( not sure if that is your name, you didn’t sign your post), Welcome to the group. Iodine is needed in every part of the body, not just the thyroid. So yes, we need iodine even if we do not have a thyroid. ( I also am thyroidless) . I personally take 100mg of Iodoral daily along with the companion nutrients which are most important to include when taking iodine. Have you read the new members document you were sent when you joined? Many of your questions will be answered there. If you didn’t save it, you can go to the home page, click on New Members Doc. Read First and Commonly Asked Questions. Read all you can on our site as a lot of time and energy has been spent to help educate new members. Then feel free to ask questions. Iodine has been known to help fibrocystic breasts and again, every part of the body uses iodine, especially when one loses their thyroid to cancer, they desperately need iodine! Guest guest
I take dessicated thyroid also and feel almost normal, hair is thick, nails hard, no palpitations, still a little foggy and sometimes energy a little low but much better than on Synthroid. Didn't do well on Synthroid either but my Free T4 is very low on dessicated thyroid and was hoping that doing some Lugal's (2%) I just sent out for would help. I see here that it is recommended that we use a higher dose though.Dinner with Anne & Steve www.berkshiresnow.com--- On Fri, 4/22/11, ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...> wrote:From: ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...>Subject: Re: New to Iodine group and have no thyroidiodine Date: Friday, April 22, 2011, 4:39 PM Are you on Synthroid or Levoxyl?
