Hi Fortunata; In order to explain why this works for me, I need to outline my

history briefly. I am 56 postmenopausal and have been self treating for the

last 4 years.

Up until last autumn I was very happy and stable on 3 grains thyroid S and 75

mcg T3 daily. I am one of those folk who require substantial amounts of thyroid

medication. Sadly I developed rT3 problems and last October I started on T3

only following the guidelines on the rT3 site. I got up to 150 mcg T3 at one

point but eventually that leveled off at 125 mcg. T3 daily. In December I had

my thyroid blood and sex hormones done and found that my sex hormones were

almost non-existant even at post meno levels. My GP started me on Kliovace

(HRT) and I did find a slight improvement to my fatigue and muscle weakness but

the HRT does not include Testosterone. When the GP was unable to prescribe the

Testosterone I ordered the Androfeme 1% on the recommendation of some people on

the nth adrenal site. Within 10 days I have reduced my T3 to 100 mcg daily and

my muscle weakness is virtually gone and the afternoon slump is not so

crippling. For me, adding the Testosterone is another piece of the puzzle but

as I learned early on, sorting out my health has to be done in order, adrenal,

thyroid and then, if necessary, the sex hormones.
