Hi Everyone,

Well since being of my hrt and tweaked my t4 dosage I am feeling tons better, I

am still going to try armour but leave that till the new year. My menstrual

cycle have returned after 6 years which is fantastic, but iam suffering from bad

pmt and mood swing's, I have been looking into taking agnus castus or evening

primrose oil, has anyone had any experience with these products, I don't want to

do more harm than good and very cautious in taking herbal supplements, does

agnus castus interfere with any thyroid meds.

Thanks

Hello ,

I have been taking Agnus Castus (Chasteberry) for a few months now, on

recommendation from Dr Peatfield - I take " Chasteberry Plus " which I buy

from Nutri. I have had very severe period pain, ovarian cysts and

endometriosis - and the Chasteberry tablets are definitely making a

difference, the most noticeable being that my periods are nowhere near as

painful and my cycle is now around 27 days, whereas it had gone down to just

21 days. I have not noticed the Chasteberry tablets interfering with my

thyroid medication at all - I am on Armour thyroid and T3 (and also

hydrocortisone and numerous nutritional supplements).

Like most herbal remedies, Chasteberry is not a " quick fix " ; you have to

give it a minimum of 3 months to know for sure if it will work or not,

although some improvement can occur sooner.

Hope that helps.

Hazel.
