It sounds like you have a good health care team looking after you. I know how you feel about hoping that CML never comes back. For now though we know that there have been only a very few patients who have been able to stay off of Gleevec for a length of time without a relapse. We know that Gleevec isn't a cure but it really helps most of us lead a normal healthy life, in spite of the side effects. Good luck to you and keep us posted.
