Guest guest
Tried posting this a couple of days ago, but I don't see it in the messages anywhere. Apologies is this is a repeat. Hello all....have not posted much lately, but I do read the digests every day. I just got the results from a recent Bone Marrow Biopsy the other day. Chimerism/DNA test showed 100% donor. Molecular/PCR test from bone marrow: negative The post-transplant microsatellite polymorphism pattern is identical to the donor pattern which is compatible with successful engraftment. No morphologic evidence of chronic myelogenous leukemia. That's four months in a row. Only minor symptoms of GVHD at this point. A few sores in my mouth and soft fingernails, very tolerable. My onc doesn't want to see me again until January! I'm a Happy Camper.

Thanks for updating. I am still resting a lot from my ordeal, and taking a long time to get my energy back, but I can thank God I am alive at least. I have seen the inside of the hospital too much, don't want to go back any time soon. I don't know how you managed to stay so upbeat during your long stay. The hospital I was in was horrid, and true to form, I am writing an article to the local newspaper about it. So glad you are a " happy camper, " and say hello to your family for me. - Lynne s
