Hi Amy. I am glad you are doing okey after the surgery. I wish I can do it too.

I am trying to cut callories to 500 Cal a day. Hope this work against Gleevec

weight gain. Amy, have you experienced edema from Gleevec and what you do to

control it.

Hey everyone, It has been a while since I posted and I wanted to say

HELLO, and let you all know I'm doing ok. I had my gastric bypass on

May 1st, and have since lost 47lbs, not thin yet but on my way. I

would love to tell you all I feel fantastic, but alas, my body is

still getting used to all the changes, and it is not real happy about

it <smile> My WBC's have stayed below 10......so I'm way happy about

that, I had my Potassium checked and it was 3.0 which is low, so I

started eating more Postassium rich foods, and it hasn't been a

problem. I go to MDACC on the 19th and will have to face the wrath

of Dr. Kantarjian, as he really didn't approve of me having the

surgery. You know I had to make the best decision for me. SO I

DID! Sorry I have been out of touch so much lately, working and

resting seems to take up a lot of time. I went back to work 10 days

after surgery and I probably should have waited, but I didn't have

another nurse to take care of my patients. So I guess I'm a little

stretched out, but it'll be ok. Thanks for all the well wishes and

inquiries, Zavie thanks for you ever present presence, you are such

an inspiration. Faith, hope and love to all!

UP ONLY ONCE DURING THE NIGHT NOW AND IS STARTING ON CEREAL, THEY

GROW SO FAST. IM TAKING EVERY MOMENT IN AS THIS WILL BE MY ONLY
