Consult for Gastric Bypass

Hi everyone. I went today for a Gastric Bypass consult. I emailed Dr.

Druker a while back to ask about absorption issues with Gleevec and GB,

and he wrote that in reasoning it out it seemed that it should not be a

problem since GIST patients have resections and do well on Gleevec. So

I have started the ball rolling <no date yet>. I figure if Gleevec and

all the new medications are going to allow us a longer life than what

we were first told, then by golly I wanna enjoy it,and being 150 lbs

overweight certainly limits my enjoyment. So please wish me luck and

keep me in your prayers!
