Hello all....

Just got some great news from MDACC regarding my June 15 test results:

chimerism: 100% donor cells

bcr-abl: ZERO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like the second (high dose) DLI may be doing the trick.

The GVHD is almost gone (currently just some irritation inside my mouth), and I

am down to a very small dose of steroids to keep it in check. As a result, my

energy level is slowly but surely getting back to normal.

In addition, my onc just cut my Gleevec dosage in half from 800 to 400mgs a

day, the first step towards getting off all meds.

I am praying that these results prove to be durable as time goes on....my next

test is scheduled for mid-August.

I am also glad to know that Sprycel is now FDA approved! My onc says it will be

the next line of treatment in the event of a relapse. In the meantime....I'll

appreciate each day as it comes!
