That along with other developments is making me a bit anxious. Can someone explain more about LDH, and what that might show about advancig CML and/or gleevec not working so well? Guest guest Posted September 15, 2006 Report Share Posted September 15, 2006 Hi MJ, The LDH is usually part of the liver work up but it really isn't specific to the liver because it's found in many different organs including muscles. If the LDH is elevated, it can indicate liver damage but it can also be as a result of tissue damage which may or not be significant. What was your count? 50 points higher than before doesn't sound very significant to me, it could just mean that you strained a muscle from lifting something heavy or perhaps you strained a muscle with a cramp, I've done that before. It doesn't take much to raise the LDH a little bit. I've had mine sway around 40-50 points or so with no significance. As long as it isn't hundreds above normal, I wouldn't worry about it.
