Guest guest
Hi Amy, , , etc, Let me explain about # 956 in the Zero Club. I shout out each new Zero Club member that I discover on the various lists. In the case of # 956, the Zero was for zippimom (Irene McAloon) who posted her great news on the CML HOPE list. Normally I only shout out the Zero on the list where the Zero was first posted. In this case I felt that the news was so significant that I would also post it on our site. If you go to the CML HOPE site and look at the original post, you will find that it is unsigned. When I reply to a post, I will sign my name at the end of the post just after the originator's signature. In this case I didn't pay attention and simply signed my name at the end of the post. So for someone reading the post on the site and not knowing who zippimom is, it is very easy to assume that I wrote the email. This was not a problem on the CML HOPE site because the original post was right there. I normally don't post on the site (except for new Zeros and chat reminders). # 956 was one of nine new Zeros (# 949 - # 956) that I posted there on March 10. I am still # 102 in the Zero Club. I started Gleevec on March 27, 2001. My 5 year anniversary on Gleevec will be a day to celebrate. I reached Zero in September 2001. I'm still on a 400 mg dose and my last RT-PCR test showed a 3.0 log reduction. Thank you for all your good wishes. Zavie PS My email was bouncing on the weekend of March 11-12 so I missed some of your posts. PPS 5 years on Gleevec at $3,600/mo for a grand total of $215,000 CDN. WOW! Thanks to Novartis and socialized medicine Canadian style. Re: [ ] RE: Zavie! I think Zavie was posting that for someone else.
