Guest guest
Hi! Thanks for taking to listen. It was pretty suprising and it took me awile to calm down. I do realise that it is not a deadly disease but that night when I was reading I was pretty confused. But anyways thanks for listening and I am going to keep reading everyone's messages! I probably won't have much to say but a lot to learn from you guys! Thank you again! Take care Tracey <traceyincanada@...> wrote: Hi, Welcome to the group. Boy, you must have found us in record time with your Mom's diagnosis just today (well yesterday). I'm sure you're both overwhelmed right now and that's normal but rest assured that as you learn more, you will feel better and more optimistic. CML is no longer the deadly disease it once was thanks to advances in treatments. There are members in this group who have been with us for many, many years and are still doing well and there's every reason in the world to expect that your Mom will do just as well. Feel free to ask any questions you have. We're not a shy bunch and would be happy to answer anything we can. In the mean time, you may want to check out our Files section (to the left of the screen). There, you will find two documents that should help you to understand the basics, one is called the " CML Glossary " and the other is called " CML FAQ " . We use alot of acronyms which you no doubt, will find confusing at the beginning, but give yourself time and you'll be more at ease before long.
