Guest guest Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 During my last visit with my oncologist, I was asked to get a CT scan which I refused to do citing the high level of radiation. After she checked with the diagnostic techs, they agreed that an MRI would be suitable for monitoring the advance of this disease. I found out after the appointment was made that it would be a two hour sit in a machine for view of abdomen, pelvis and chest. I'm having no symptoms other than a galloping rise in WBCs and recent infections that I cannot seem to get over. No cough, no pain, slight fatigue. To me, it's the usual course of the disease and nothing more. Has anyone ever gone through one a full body MRI without symptoms worthy of the expense? What am I missing here? If you've ever been in a similar situation I'd appreciate hearing from you here or off line. Thanks, Ann Quote
