Guest guest Posted February 23, 2006 Report Share Posted February 23, 2006 Hi Skip, I don't know how much of a problem your rash and itch are around your ankles but if it's more than a nuisance, you may want to ask your doctor about using Prednisone to see if it will help. Others have had sucess getting rid of rashes with the addition of Prednisone for a short time. One of the side effects of Prednisone is an increased production of white cells so that may be a good thing in your case. I'm not sure if it has any effect on platelets.
