I must stick up for Zavie

Hello, Everyone:

THIS IS THE QUIET LURKER UNTIL TODAY!

Zavie would never intentionally hurt ANYONE'S feelings. I am sure he

did not mean to " rain " on anyone's parade!

Zavie merely was pointing out the facts. This is not a time to be

offended but to merely understand the full intentions of Zavie. I

think that an apology to Zavie is needed. Otherwise, you have just

taught everyone on this group to not speak up about the facts and

sugar coat everything that everyone says. I sure do not want that!

Do you?

Personally, I would want to be happy with my results but I would also

wish to know the truth. This group is about truth. NO ONE ON THIS

GROUP intends to hurt anyone. No one on this group intends to go out

of their way to make someone unhappy!

If it had not been for Zavie and for C., I would not be in th

is group. They went out of their way to help me since February 2003.

It is bad enough that we all have this chronic disease. I have

learned throughout all of this that life is very short. People all

mean well. Zavie certainly MEANS well and MEANT well by his

comments. When people talk, even if you take it the wrong way, LISTEN

to their message. You do not have to take the advice but just

LISTEN! Listening never hurt anyone. Before CML, I was a good

listener. However, since CML, I am a really good listener. I try to

absorb everything and sometimes I get overloaded!

I have also learned to LURK and read especially after what happened

to our original group. People were not free to speak their opinions

on anything AND people went out of their way to hurt other people.

This group is not like that! However, when necessary, I WILL SPEAK

UP and hope that you just listen. Zavie would not intentionally hurt

a fly.

Zavie apologized (even though I think he did not have to---what a

great guy!). Now, everyone here needs to apologize to Zavie for

telling the truth. I guess you are all afraid to hear the truth and

just want to listen to what the doctors have to say whether it is

right or wrong. I remember a time when people were getting the wrong

test for PCR---getting qualitative, not quantatative. That was a

nightmare for some because the results were not the same. But the

diehards SPOKE up and made many a person unhappy BUT we all learned

that Quantitative was the way to go! That is okay just don't be

offended by the truth. If it were not for the truth, most of us

would not know what our options would be for when Gleevec does not

work anymore. BMS and Super Gleevec would NEVER have been invented

if one did not listen to the truth!
