Just found this CLL site and hope to learn more about CLL.

Seems we have taken this too lightly after hubby was told he had it and wouldn't

kill him, something else would. 4 years ago.

Now that I have CLL also, been reading about it, hopefully not too much!

Never knew that colds, sinus infections etc could be issues with CLL

and both of us have had severe bouts of both.

Also, just read about " itch " .....so strange, I have been to 3 skin doctors and

one said fungus infection, other two said dermitius (sp) and gave RX of Elidel,

which was mentioned in article about " itch " .

Last week was stung by a wasp OUCH and had is swollen. Asked the pharmacist what

to do, said put topical cream and would go away. Today am going to call our

doctor and see if this is not clearing up because of CLL.

Sorry for a long first post....but its good to " talk " to folks who know about it

and have it !

Hi Judy,

Strange that both you and your husband have cll. You say you're from

Missouri? Do you live on a farm? Are you exposed to farm chemicals? An

oncology nurse at Hopkins told me that farmers have a higher than

normal risk of cll because of the chemicals. One potential complication of cll

is s- syndrome, which has qualitites of a rash. This is a very,

very nasty condition, and one we should be on the alert

for. It can be triggered by certain medications. Here is a page on it, page

down for particulars:

I knew an 80 yr. old woman with cll who developed it, many dermatologists missed

the diagnosis, gave her topical steroids, etc..

Judy, additionally, some folks with cll get ordinary rashes possibly triggered

by cll, not SJS, so don't be alarmed, just aware.

Hi Judy.

Ellen is right. I was given several topical products to use on the rash that had to bought at the pharmacy. None of them worked.. You won't believe what worked best. Bert's bees baby rash ointment!
