Guest guest Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Can anyone give me some background and/or info about what all is entailed in the testing process for the Zap 70 test, especially in reference to SLL as opposed to CLL? Is it something that is subject to interpretation (such as a lab smear or slide etc. ) and what is the margin for error by labs or whomever performs the test? Are they interpreted by a hemotologist or a pathologists or ???? The reason I ask is that my husband has already had it done earlier this year, but his doctor is having it repeated. Thanks, Jean wife of Dave age 51, dx 8/04 Quote
Guest guest Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 Helene: Thank you for your input re: my husband's high Zap-70 count. It came out of his bone marrow biopsy done by Dr. at New York Hospital. What is "ALC?" Is that his lymphocytic count? If so, it is 10,000. Thanks for the info. about the blog.Connie Re: Zap-70 > Connie,> > My husband also had a very high Zap, which did not make me happy.> > The question is, whether the lab where it is done is reliable. > Where > was your husband's done?
