Guest guest
Hi - yesterday I sent around a copy of an e-mail where I was answering a request to be allowed to post info on our page regarding the selling of " CLL embroidered merchandise " , with the proceeds going to research and the like. I was asking your opinions. What I did not realize is that you all did not have a copy of the proposal. What do you think? Here it is:: ________________________________________________________________ Fundraising Proposal for CLL Submitted by Debbie Groff CLL Patient 407-628-3479 407-629-2037 PHAX dzgroff@... ACOR CLLTopics CureforCLL SLL/CLL CLL Alternatives www.JoeTullman.com Dear Ladies and Gentleman, I am writing to all of you today concerning my fund-raising propos al for CLL research for a cure. Two years ago, I did the CLL tee shirts (in partnership with Beth Bathe and Mark Cohen) that were so warmly received and worn with pride by our fellow patients. We raised over $3,000.00 dollars! As you may recall, each patient was able to donate to the CLL cause of their choice and I want to extend that offer of giving and benefit our charitable endeavors. I am going to do a web site and sell clothing featuring the CLL logo that we used for the tee shirt design. I plan to sell a wide variety of clothing products that will be embroidered with that same design. These products will include hats, polo shirts, tote bags, blankets, sweatshirts etc. I will maintain the web site, produce the clothing, handle all the shipping and donate profits from each item sold to the organization of the patient’s choice. This is my area of expertise, I have a small company that sells logo’d clothing to businesses, and I have been doing this for over 10 years. I have always wanted to help raise money for CLL and support research. I’ve been inspired by all of you and your efforts and I know this will be a small but successful way to help fund the cure for us. The idea really took root when Lise Rasmussen- wore her tee shirt to USCD one day and Dr. Coutre said, “I wish all of my patients wore their diagnosis for their appointments!†With your help and support, we can show the CLL logo everywhere! I am seeking your permission to post information about Clothing for a CLL cure on each of your websites and maintain a permanent link between them. I would of course, maintain current information about each of your web sites as well. While I’m new to running a website, I know a lot about clothing design and PR. I firmly believe that our efforts as patient advocates, funding our own research are unique and newsworthy! Please let me know via phone or email your thoughts on my request and idea’s! I would like to have the site up and running by November 12th. A little bit about me: CLL patient since 1999. I am stage 2 with a dx of SLL/CLL. I am presently in W & W and a new patient at MD , Orlando FL. I am also a long-term subscriber on each of your lists. I know this is a great idea and with your support, Clothing for a CLL cure can generate a steady stream of donations. It’s truly a win-win situation for everyone. I am anxiously awaiting your feed-back! Cordially, Debbie Groff
